Gail Morgan - Flying Point - Bustins Island
Gail was born and raised in Kentucky. She attended Eastern Kentucky University and studied Art and Interior Design.
She earned her Masters Degree in Education from Northern Kentucky University with a focus on independent studies in printmaking and ceramics. Gail has been a resident of Yarmouth, Maine, for twenty years.
Gail started oil painting in 2003 and was thrilled to be awarded the People's Choice Award at the Freeport Merchants Association Fall Art Festival for her painting, "THE DREAM".
In September, 2006, Gail was again entered as an artist in the Freeport Merchants Association "Fall in the Village Festival". She is the proud recipient of the Peoples Choice Award for her acrylic painting entitled "Deep Forest".
As a board member of The Art Guild of Freeport, Gail has taken on the responsibility of Show Coordinator. In this position, Gail has organized the annual shows, and been able to develop new ways to introduce art in the community. The Art Guild was able to partner up with The French School of Maine for their fund raiser in 2009. In April 2010, The Art Guild will be a part of The Flavors of Freeport fund raiser to benefit the Town of Freeport and UNITED WAY.
